We be swamped with emails and comments asking for information on the pubcrawl route for this year so we’re going to go ahead and publish our planned course now to give you enough time to find sitters for your knee-biters. (Please be aware that we only approached Bob and Eddie of Eddie’s Attic LAST NIGHT about adding them to our pubcrawl route, so they’re in the middle of checking to see if they can make it happen… for the time being we are showing them as a “tentative” on our map. If it turns out they’re unable to take us in that night please don’t blame Mister Eddie’s Attic, just turn back around and dance your way back to the Brick Store! )

We’ve kept it secret for as long as we could, but with less than a week before the Palooza, it’s time to announce the entertainment line-up for the 5th Annual PiratePalooza Pub Sing, scheduled to begin at 6:30pm, Saturday, September 19th, at the James Joyce Pub in Avondale Estates, Georgia.

The Brigadoon Bombshells – the evening’s entertainment will begin with this harmonious group of wenches with dangerous curves and hoppin’ harmonies!

Tenpenny Traveler – a stockpot full of sea chanties and authentic sailing songs will have your toes a-tapping!

Joni Minstrel – a legendary protest singer who’s always causing problems wherever she goes. No doubt she’ll be plotting a mutiny of this year’s Palooza if we’re not careful!

Syrens of the South – a wiggly, jiggly bunch of burlesque wenches to tempt you sea dogs what have been sailing too long.

The Lost Boys – these kilted lads in teal do make the women squeal, and it’s rumored that they invented Rock music.

Three Quarter Ale – straight from the Georgia Renaissance Festival, we are likely to experience this popular trio as a duo this year, as it’s rumored that Wicked Pete Speakeasy is afraid that Captain Drew will challenge him to another game of Salt Slug Foot.

Wine, Woman & Song – this group, led by your Pub Mistress Naughty Nellie Peachbottom, performs some great traditionals and will lead you into the final Pub Sing at the end of the night. Don’t miss it!

We’re pleased to announce that the popular Atlanta-based burlesque troop Syrens of the South will make a special pirate-style appearance during the finale of this year’s Pirate Music Concert, scheduled to run from 6pm to 10pm at the James Joyce Irish Pub in Avondale Estates. We certainly hope that the Syrens legendary love of seamen will show through in this special appearance!!

THUNDER!!! but that were a terrible storm we just encountered…. the entire Palooza has been blown into a strange new sea we’ve never traversed afore…. and we’ve just learned where it is that we’ll finally come ashore… why, it’s The James Joyce Irish Pub in Avondale Estates!!!

If you’ve never been to the James Joyce before yoy be in for quite a treat, Jim m’lad!!

Be sure to order the largest plate of tater tots that your pocketbook can afford. You won’t be sorry, that much I’ll give you. And besides!!!… it’ll give your old pirate pal Captain Drew an excuse to come sit with you and stare at your best girl’s treasure chest. Tater tots, do there be anything that they cannot accomplish?

But of course, that’s not all they have on their fantastic menu, so dig in m’hearties and fill your bellies well!!

The folks at the Joyce know how to a pour a great Guinness, and of course they have rum you farty old salt…. you know that I’d never get you far from a full-service bar!

Best of all is their spacious outdoor garden patio, where you’ll sing along to some of your favorite sea chanteys beginning at 6pm and lasting until 10pm.

If you be a pirate what wants to talk and roar, more than sway and sing, I’d ask you to take a gander at their indoor bar… it’s big and ready for thirsty cuthroats like yourselves!!

We’ll have an area for merchandise set up outside, for those of you discerning enough to recognize the need to own a fyne album of pirate music, or the limited-edition Official 2008 PiratePalooza™Â T-shirts… which recognize the fact that we were blown off course this year, with a slightly tropical Tiki island theme. Note that we have limited supplies of shirts from the past three years, try to collect them all!!

And PLEASE don’t miss out on the PiratePalooza™ Pubcrawl earlier in the day!!
