We like to think that the Official PiratePalooza PubCrawl & PubSing experience is incomplete without the purchase of one of our commemorative T-shirts, and that’s not just because we hate stumbling over piles of those cursed unsold shirts for the 364 days leading up to the next Palooza. This year it should come as no surprise that the artwork on the reverse side of the shirts features Captain Drew’s newest invention, the rPlank™. Best of all (for you scurvy dogs) we’ve held the price of the T-shirts down to $15 (even though they have a crazy lot of ink on them) and for the first time in the 7 years of PiratePalooza history, Captain Drew is dropping the cost of shirts from previous Paloozas down to $10 – get them while they last. See you on Saturday?!!

Being as I, Captain Drew, are a genuine space pirate, it should come as little wonder to you Earth lubbers that I be having a serious interest in the doings of a minstrel troupe what calls themselves “They Might Be Giants”, particularly when they gin up a handy little ditty for the Walt Disney Company what involves Davy Crockett and Outer Space and be called (uncoincidentally) “The Ballad of Davy Crockett (In Outer Space)” [now available on iTunes for US99¢]. As there’s yet to be any official artwork or videos for this ballad at the time of this arrrticle, I’ve done taken the liberty of grabbing old Fess Parker‘s gob and stickin’ it into a space suit just to convey the idea of Davy Crockett in space. I don’t reckon old Fess’ll mind much as he’s got his own winery.

I’ve been Yelping about some of the restaurants around Atlanta this summer and was deep into a review of Atlantic Station when I ran up against the 5,000 word limit, I mean, 5,000 character limit (thanks Lynn) so I’ve decided to post the full body of that 1-Star review here for those who are interested…..
Atlantic Station, how my dreams art shattered ‘pon thy formerly blighty brownfields.
Once I dreamt of you in your blowzy high-collared finery, your pendulous breasts swinging, um, I mean your capacious parking structures rising…. your skirts hiked gloriously high above the thrice-cursed land of Atlantic Steel. You were to be our shining star of urban renewal and Continue Reading

Meet Testy McPherson: plastic toy, viking-like pirate, all around ill-tempered git what likes to shoot things with the cannon he keeps perched atop his shoulder. Testy is good at party games, a devotee of Peach Schnapps and consistently bowls in the mid 200′s. He claims that he’s “one guy you don’t want to mess with” but the truth is that he’s a volunteer on weekends at the nursing home and runs a Yahoo group on french braids.
